Operations

CTI is disrupting the coffee industry with a state-of the-art instant coffee manufacturing facility, utilizing advanced processing technology. The facility is designed to deliver instant coffee at a quality comparable to fresh brewed. CTI will bring 13 million pounds of capacity online for the business-to-business market.

Utilization of proprietary process technologies enable best-in-class conservation of coffee and water inputs with the highest quality outputs. The 100,000 square foot facility will contain processing, drying, and bulk packaging operations with allowance for future capacity and capability expansion.

All coffee manufacturing by-product will be repurposed into safe, green, and environmentally friendly products.

Chief Executive Officer

Chad McNair began his coffee business in 1988 with the development of a liquid coffee extract operation based in Houston, Texas.  The concept was re-launched in 1993 in San Antonio, Texas as Aspen Beverage Group (ABG) with an emphasis on food service and commercial applications for coffee extracts.  ABG has become a significant international player in the coffee extract business serving major branded coffee labels, quick serve restaurants, club retailers, bottlers, roasters, and distributors.  After 24 years of continuous growth to become the largest Cold Brew Coffee manufacturer globally, McNair sold the company in 2017 and formed a family office, McNair Java Partners, engaged in investing and launching new business ventures. He also serves on a variety of for-profit and non-profit boards.  ​

McNair has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA in finance from the University of Houston. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.  ​Chad has been married to Dr. Shelly McNair for over 30 years. Chad & Shelly have two sons and a daughter.

Chief Operating Officer

Peter Bohan is a seasoned general manager and executive with deep experience in the manufacture & sales of capital equipment for the mining, chemical, food & renewable energy sectors.  In addition to general management, Peter has also has expertise in sales and project management.  During the course of his career, Bohan has worked for a wide variety companies from major corporations (Anglo-American, Baker Hughes & US Filter) to start-up entities.

During his career, Bohan has had significant experience in M&A and the subsequent integration of acquired entities.  He has also worked with PE groups and participated in an IPO. Over the past 6 years Peter has worked closely with Nol Bosman & TEC Square in the design, construction, and commissioning of instant coffee plants for a major player in the coffee industry.

Bohan has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and an MBA from Cranfield Institute of Technology.  Peter has been married to Yvonne for over 40 years and they currently reside in South Carolina.  His interests include bridge, cycling, and golf.

Chief Technology Officer

Nol Bosman is an all-round manufacturing executive with a proven general management record and an out-of-the-box approach to business opportunities. Originally from the Netherlands, Nol is currently the co-owner of TEC Square with main offices in the Netherlands and Spain. Over the course of his career, Nol has worked for international corporations such as Sara Lee, Nestlé, and Shell. He has commissioned and led coffee factories in Vietnam, South Korea, Morocco, the Philippines, South Africa, the Netherlands, and the United States.

Nol is a specialist in instant coffee and has led dozens of green-field projects as well as continuous improvement and turnaround operations. Nol has extensive international experience, is fully conversant in 4 languages and holds a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology.

Nol has been married to Naima for over 20 years, has 2 children in university and resides in Spain. Sports is an important part of family life, Naima was a Dutch champion in athletics.

Senior Financial Advisor

Michael Hyche is currently the primary operating partner of the managing sponsor for a $300m US packaged food company. In addition, he maintains an advisory practice for middle-market food and beverage companies worldwide.

Michael had an accomplished career as a senior operating executive for middle market food companies prior to forming an advisory practice in 2015. He has engaged in a variety of situations and in multiple roles including operations, business development, and technical services leadership. Over the course of his operating career, he spear-headed numerous value creation initiatives – capacity expansions and facility start-ups; new processing and packaging technology commercialization; and led a variety of company turnarounds. He is a recognized thought leader in several industry consortia to advance the state of the art in food processing and manufacturing.

Michael has a degree in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin. He resides in San Antonio, Texas. He has been married to his wife for almost 20 years, and they have 2 children.

Eldon Pass partners are co-founders of CoffeeTech and work with other members of the Leadership Team on matters of capital structure, real estate, go-to-market strategies, and economic incentives.  Eldon Pass is a family of mature operating companies, real estate, and new ventures that aspire to do good in the world.​  ​The firm uses relationships to mobilize leadership, technology, and financial resources to invest in, build up, and operate businesses.  Eldon Pass has a long-term orientation towards building and sustaining mutually beneficial relationships with its business partners, employees, and communities where it operates.
